Alcala de Xivert and Alcossebre will have LED street lighting to save electricity
The electricity supply company is carrying out the improvements at no cost to the town
Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre Council has started replacing the public street lights.

3,100 street lights will be affected and will either have their bulbs replaced or be completely replaced, to be equipped with LED bulbs.
To make greater savings, the electricity supply company will carry out the complete works at no cost to the municipal coffers, as part of the contract awarded to the Elecnor Empresa de Servicios Energeticos.
As councillor José Colom explained, the work is almost finished in the central part of Alcossebre, and it is hoped that the changes to the street lighting will have been completed throughout the town before August.
