Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre Council to improve pedestrian access to the Las Fuentes Promenade from the port
The Council will invest 15,000 euros in improvement work to this point
Repair and improvement work will be carried out to the pedestrian access to the Las Fuentes Promenade, “an area which has deteriorated a lot and which spoils the spectacular Promenade which we enjoy along the Las Fuentes beach. This is why the council wanted to improve this area to make it the entrance to the Promenade”, local mayor Francisco Juan Mars explained.
The Council is to invest 15,000 euros in the improvement work, which will involve pressed concrete, respecting the area around the existing restaurant, where there are stones which were installed in the 60s, according to José Colom, who explained that they will install removable flagstones over the channel running through the area to collect the rainwater, so that it is integrated as part of the concreting work but can be removed if necessary as, for example, cleaning.
The work is being carried out by a local construction company and will be completed in approximately one week.
