Alcossebre hotels registered 93% average occupation during August
Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre Council Tourism Department announced Alcossebre hotel occupation figures for August, which recorded an average of 93%. The council believes that these figures show an increase over the same period in 2013, when occupation reached 90%. According to Tourism councillor, Ricardo Aguilar, “the excellent occupation figures recorded this summer have been maintained throughout August, with an increase in the rate of hotel occupation, which was already clear in the first two weeks of the month”.
Regarding the statistics of enquiries in the town’s Tourist Offices, there were over 11,600 actual enquiries at the offices. On its own, the Tourist Office in the Plaza Vista Alegre registered over 7,700 enquiries during this period, whilst the Auxiliary Tourist Information Kiosk on Romana Beach dealt with 2,500 requests for information. In Alcala de Xivert, the Tourist Information Kiosk received about 1,450 enquiries. In addition, nearly 950 tourists enjoyed the guided visits offered by the Council, to the Parish Church and the Bell Tower
