The Olea association is organising a family-friendly ornithological event in Alcala de Xivert

The Olea association is organising an ornithological event called ‘Volant Volant’ for everyone, which will be held on Sunday 16^th November at 12:00h, in the CESAL in Alcala de Xivert.

The event is being held as part of the SEO/BirdLife Spanish Ornithological Society’s“Volar, Viajar, Vivir” campaign, with European finance, and the aim is to increase knowledge of the amazing feats which birds as small as the chiff-chaff, the lesser whitethroat and the lovely redstarts arriving in Alcala now, must perform twice a year in order to be able to survive.

In May the Alcala de Xivert Council took part in the Volar, Viajar, Vivir campaign with an exhibition and a talk in Alcossebre.

At the event being organised by Olea and SEO with cooperation from the Alcala de Xivert Council, there will be a conference and games about bird migration. There will be a very entertaining talk on the fantastic journeys the birds make and a very amusing game for girls and boys, mothers and fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers – everyone, to join in about the birds’ incredible migratory journeys.
