The Council starts work along the former national road to create an alternative route between Alcala and Alcossebre

The work to connect the road between Alcala de Xivert and Alcossebre to the roundabout at the access to the coastal town and the sewage plant has been started by the Council.  This project, as the mayor, Francisco Juan Mars, recalled “will meet a great demand from residents, above all, the local farmers.  With this work, they will have greater security when going to their land with their agricultural machinery, avoiding having to travel along the N-340.   This will result in much greater security”.

The Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre Council, has already cleaned up along the edges of this road, and now it just remains to asphalt it along this route, which is used such a lot.
This work is in addition to that carried out by the Ministerio de Fomento to adapt the access from the road to the roundabout.

The total budget for these two works, the one being paid for by the Ministerio de Formento and that being financed by the council itself, amounts to an estimated 200,000 euros, including the acquisition of land by the council.
