The socialist groups for our region have formally ratified the nomination of Joan Ronchera for Mayor. The local association has shown its support for Ronchera who thanked all of the supporters and sympathisers of the PSPV. Joan said: “My candidacy is a collective team project, open to all groups on the left who all share a common interest”.
The ratification of these local groups is a stsrting point for Joan Ronchera who will now lead a campaign with ambitions to fight to get some essential infrastructure that we have spent several years waiting for in Alcalà and Alcossebre. He said “I want to put the our area on the tourist map, to care for the elderly and to meet the demands of young people. I want to back up the self employers and entrepreneurs and help with the education and training of young people.
He also referred to the urgency to strengthen the need for Municiple protection. He said “I want stop until our unemployed have in front of them more than just uncertainty and insecurity”. “I intend to introduce a municipal saving plan, to avoid unnecessary expenses that will ultimately go back to the pockets of residents”. Ronchera also stressed that it was important to reduce the high tax burden faced by families of the people who are in the worst social and economic situation of the recent times”.
The Socialist candidate added, "I will work to change the way of governing, I want a transparent, open and participatory Town Hall”. He concluded by stating that he would take steps to provide solutions to the problems that the electorate have, have the maximum respect for all the others political forces using dialogue and always giving priority to achieve the aims of the municipality.
