As has become traditional, this event was held in the Alcossebre Paseo Marítimo with a small reception. The presentation was led by the Chairman of Custom Maestrat, Miguel Martorell, the mayor of Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre, Francisco Juan Mars, and Ximo – who lent him his biker waistcoat for the presentation. The 2015 Alcossebre HD and Custom Rally will begin on Thursday 3rd September with a welcoming concert and the opening of the marquee, which will be available for the first bikers to arrive in Alcossebre.
This year’s programme, which will take place throughout the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th of September, will have exhibits of American cars, Stunt Chopper Shows, the Tourist Route, exhibits of transformed bikes and music from Emma Fernández & the Bayou Band, The Ladies, The Holly Rollers, Emma Fernández & The BCN Fireballs.
On the Sunday, when the rally ends, Custom Maestrat will invite the local ‘festeras’ to take part in the fiesta, as well as making a broad invitation during the 4-day event to everyone in Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre as well as the nearby towns and villages.
The Custom Maestrat chairman thanked “all the Custom Maestrat family for their work during the whole year, as well as anyone who is involved in any way in this fiesta, such as the Municipal Brigade, the Local Police”. Miguel Martorell said that this rally grows bigger every year and is firmly established as an important date for bikers because “each year it attracts more and the welcome is greater each time”.
For his part, the mayor, Francisco Juan Mars, congratulated Custom Maestrat on their organisation of this next Alcossebre HD and Custom Rally “congratulations on the way you carry it out and the year-round work. Thank you for all you bring to the cultural life both in Alcala and Alcossebre – you are always here”, he said.
