Alcala de Xivert and Alcossebre’s tourism businesses exhibit all their tourist attractions at FITUR
Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre Council once again participated in the Madrid International Tourism Show, FITUR, joining the professionals from the national and international tourism sector.
Alejandra Roca, the Tourism Councillor, was charged with attending the Madrid venue to promote tourism and take the town’s name to FITUR, showing off its attractions as a tourist destination to the professionals and public who were there.
Whilst there they promoted various attractions for tourists: the nature, the heritage, the gastronomy, with the local hung tomatoes and olive oil made in the town at the top of the list, as well as the beaches, sporting activities, rambling, the mountain bike tracks and water activities.
Alejandra Roca was accompanied by several local businessmen, and said “it is important for our businessmen to be here in force as it is they who are showing their products directly to the tour operators”.
For his part, the mayor Francisco Juan Mars wanted to emphasise the importance of being at these events to promote the town as a tourist destination. “FITUR is a window for the world, and it is important to be there and to speak face to face with those who put us in a position to attract the tourists”. He went on to add that “we live in privileged surroundings and this is our greatest potential”.
