Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre held a safety meeting to prepare for Carnival
The Council is already in count-down mode for the Carnival celebrations. On Monday, 25th January, the Safety, Fiestas and Culture councillors met with the security services professionals to coordinate the events scheduled for Carnival.
The work of the Local Police, the Guardia Civil and the Red Cross is fundamental for the correct and safe course of the celebrations, which bring together crowds of participants and the public in both urban centres.
These meetings aim to coordinate the safety and logistics for the fiestas to run smoothly, without mishap. The Fiestas councillor, Pascual Herrera stated that “It is important to manage safety at this type of event where there are such large crowds”.
Alcala de Xivert will celebrate it carnival festivities on the 5th, 6th and 7th February, before it all takes place in Alcossebre the following weekend on the 13th and 14th February.
