The Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre Council is putting the management of the new gymnasium out to tender
The Council is looking for local residents who would be interested in taking on the management of the new gymnasium built by the council in the sports area in the San Miguel road, next to the Multi-sports Centre. Local sources advise those interested that they can obtain all the information required about the terms of the contract and how it will be awarded from the council offices.
The mayor, Francisco Juan Mars, explained that “those we are looking for are local companies or those with new business skills who could take charge of the management of municipal buildings”.
The tender will be issued with the same conditions as those applied to the family respite centre which is currently managed by a local resident. The council’s aim is to meet residents’ demands and, if possible, that it should be the same residents who develop the services.
It should be remembered that the new gymnasium measures 200sq.m. and will be fully equipped; it is currently in the final phase of construction.
The Council also advised that work is already in hand for the construction of a new gymnasium, this time in Alcossebre, planned for 2017.
