The Friends of Alcossebre deliver a new defibrillator to the Alcala Pensioners’ Association

There are now 18 defibrillators in the municipality in public places

[Img #49940]The Alcala de Xivert Pensioners’ Association now has a new defibrillator with which they can assist with any type of cardiac arrest.  This will ensure that help is available in the Pensioners’ centre facilities, the multipurpose building, gymnasium and rehabilitation pool and the annexe for the family Respite Unit.  The purchase of this new defibrillator was financed by the Friends of Alcossebre Association, and donated by them to the Pensioners’ Association.  The Mayor, Francisco Juan, who was present at the handing-over event, praised “the great involvement of the Friends of Alcossebre with local groups, as they had already given a defibrillator to the Alcossebre Pensioners’ Association and now they have done the same for the Alcala Association”.

This means that Alcala-Alcossebre can be confirmed as a “heart-protected municipality” and now has a total of 18 defibrillators distributed in different places in the two towns and public spaces: CEIP La Mola in Alcossebre, CEIP Lo Campanar and the IES Serra d’Irta in Alcalà and the Policía Local, life-saving facilities on Alcossebre beaches, sports facilities – football pitches in Alcalà and Alcossebre and the Alcala Pabellón Polideportivo, medical centres in Alcalà and Alcossebre and the auxiliary centre in Capicorb.
