Alcala-Alcossebre will receive 96,798 € from the Generalitat’s Municipal Cooperation Fund
This is in addition to the 125,073 from the Castellón Provincial Diputación’s Plan 135 fund
Alcala-Alcossebre will receive 96,798 from the Municipal Cooperation Fund set up by the Generalitat Valenciana, by using Article 64.3 of the Autonomous Statute which enabled the Consell to create it. This amount, which is calculated according to the population criteria, can be used by municipalities to finance activities and services included in their local powers.
Francisco Juan, the mayor of Alcala-Alcossebre, said that “we hope to receive all the information telling us when and in what form they are going to transfer this assistance to the municipalities in order to decide how we shall use it, taking into account the priorities which we decide are worthy municipal infrastructures or assistance and social programmes”.
The 96,798 € the town will receive are in addition to the 125,073 € coming from the Castellón Diputación’s Plan 135. The provincial body also contributes to the Municipal Cooperation Fund with a contribution of 12.1 million euros. “In total, through the Plan 135 and the Fund, Alcala-Alcossebre will receive a sum of 221,871 € which, the Council will direct to improve our town and offer more services to our citizens”, Mayor Francisco Juan concluded.
