New equipment in the plaza Vista Alegre children’s play area in Alcossebre
The Services Department will spend 10,000 euros on improving the children’s play areas during the year
The plaza Vista Alegre children’s play area in Alcossebre will have a new appearance following the improvements carried out by the Alcala-Alcossebre Services Department. There are new swings and the rubber surface which covers the paving has been replaced, to prevent damage should anyone fall. The seat and the chains of the existing swing have also been renewed, in the section nearest the sea, and the ropes have been replaced on one of the climbing frames under the pine trees. In the next few weeks, it is expected that the equipment and the street furniture will be painted.
José Ángel Traver, the Services councillor, pointed out that “this is one of the most frequented children’s play areas in our town and we thought that by adding two swings we would be providing a better facility for the many families who go there”. This work is included in the actions for the improvement of children’s play areas, under the auspices of the Services Department, with a specific section in the municipal budgets of up to 10,000 euros.
