Alcala-Alcossebre, top tourist destination in the Comunitat Valenciana on Twitter and third on Facebook
The 8° Social Networks Barometer prepared by Invatur confirms the consolidation of the town’s tourism strategy on social networks
The Alcala-Alcossebre Council tourism profiles have achieved an excellent result during the last six months of 2016, according to figures collected for the 8° Social Networks Barometer for the Valencian Community prepared by the Valencian Tourism Agency, through the Valencian Institute of Tourist Technologies (Invatur). The Alcossebre Tourism profile tops the general ranking of destinations in the Valencian Community on Twitter, according to the number of new followers, followed by Valencia and Alicante.
The Tourism councillor, Alejandra Roca, explains that “to come higher than destinations with so many communication and strategy resources like Valencia and Alicante, demonstrates that we are making a great effort to make our town known through social networks and, in fact, on Twitter, a network which reaches more and more users and is based on aspects such as immediacy and direct contact with its followers”.
Regarding Facebook, the results there are also very positive as, on this social network, the Alcossebre-Alcala Tourism profile occupies the third position in the Valencian Community, with only Calpe and Benidorm coming higher. In the case of Instagram, the Alcala-Alcossebre profile is the third in the province of Castellón.
Roca said that “we shall continue working to maintain these positive results and to spread our main lines of work: family, nature, sport and heritage tourism”.
