Alcossebre will welcome one of the social projects for youth volunteers organised by the IVAJ this summer

Young people between the ages of 18 and 26 years from the Comunitat, from other communities and from other countries

This summer the Institut Valencià de la Joventut (IVAJ) has organised a total of 15 projects in the fields of youth volunteering in the ‘Viu la Solidaritat’ Programme, of which seven are of a social nature and work with children.

Amongst them there is a voluntary sector “Diviértete I”, which will be held in Alcossebre from the 16th to the 30th July, and which has as its aim carrying out play and socio-educational activities for student girls and boys, between the ages of 9 and 12 years.  The task will consist of how to live together, care and assistance as well as the programming and development of leisure and free time activities.  It has been organised in collaboration with the General Department of Social Services and People in a Dependent Situation.

The different volunteer fields are programmed for young people from 18 to 26 years old from the Comunitat Valenciana and other autonomous communities who want to participate in charitable activities in the Valencian Community.

Within the social and work with children programme there is ‘Menuts i Grans’ (Children and Adults) in Alicante, 'Personas mayores y discapacidad' (Older people and disability), in Benicarló, 'Diviértete I' (Amuse yourself I), in Alcossebre, and 'Diviértete II' (Amuse yourself II), in Alborache, 'Arte y discapacidad' (Art and disability), in Valencia, 'Pequeñas Ilusiones', (Small hopes) in Benicàssim, and the new 'Anímate', (Come to life!) in Alborache.
