Life guards and life saving service on the Alcossebre beaches
This service, based on the Cargador beach, also takes care of the lifeguard tasks and control for the rest of the beaches along the coast.
Mayor Francisco Juan Mars and the head of Tourism Ricardo Aguilar spent a large part of Thursday morning supervising the safety measures for the Alcossebre beaches during the Easter period.
This service, which is based on the Cargador beach, also takes charge of the lifeguard tasks and control of all the other beaches along the Alcossebre coast. The staff are very experienced, with high qualifications, and all sorts of logistic means for the tasks of rescue, first aid attention and evacuation.
Francisco Juan Mars confirmed that this prevention and life-saving service will be available for beach-goers every weekend until the start of the summer season. “Once the Easter holidays are over, we have made the effort to maintain this service during the remaining weekends until the start of the summer service. Our task is to try to offer better services to our residents and visitors”, he explained.
The mayor took the opportunity of seeing in depth the work which the prevention and life-saving teams carry out. He was told about the daily programme of activities for controlling and keeping guard which are carried out on the different beaches. Using quads and aquatic vehicles, the lifeguards patrol the most populated swimming areas all along Alcossebre’s coast.
