Alcala Tourist Office to open all year round
This is in addition to the Tourist Office in Alcossebre, and continue providing information for people who visit the town and extend the tourism season

For the first time, the Alcala Tourist Office in the Church Square has continued providing a service outside the summer months. Having received a grant authorised by the Provincial Diputacion for contracting tourism staff, the Office is going to remain open for the rest of the year. In this way, it can continue providing information and services for visitors to the place and above all, who are interested in Alcala’s historic heritage, with particular reference to the bell tower, the church of St. John the Baptist and the Xivert castle.
The tourism councillor, Alejandra Roca, explained that “by keeping the office open, we have proved that many organised travel groups visit us as well as tourists who are staying in Alcossebre or in other towns and are attracted by our heritage. They find the office open where they can obtain information about the times of visits, activities organised by the Tourism Department and which can provide material and guides, and this is always positive”.
Looking at 2018, this will continue because the Alcala Tourism Office will remain open throughout the year, as already happens in Alcossebre. “If our wish is to build up all-year-round tourism and to back initiatives which will reactivate the arrival of visitors all year, it is evident that we must continue giving this service which, up to now, has not been available in Alcala”, the councillor explained.
