Alcala-Alcossebre Council will join the Generalitat Valenciana’s Building Plan to extend and improve the facilities of the Alcossebre La Mola junior school.  The work planned for the centre includes, taking in the 2nd line, renovating the connections to the sewage network, the possibility of enclosing the pelota court, as well as replacing and renovating other facilities such as the fencing.  The work plan has been drawn up by the Education department in contact with the centre’s management.

Education councillor, María Agut, said that “it should be remembered that this centre has prefabricated classrooms so an extension would solve the problem of lack of space”.  By joining the Plan Edificant it would mean that the Council would draw up and license the project and that the Generalitat Valenciana would bear the financial cost.

The council meeting, to be held on 31st January, will discuss joining the Plan.  A Municipal School Council has been called for two days later, at which the main work to be carried out will be explained.  The councillor explained that “once joining the Plan has been approved at the council meeting and consensus has been reached for the work to be done, the request will be passed to the Conselleria and we hope that they will take into account that we already believe it is essential to ensure that the municipal educational infrastructures are in a good condition”.
