Facsa is to renew 2,773 metres of the water supply network in Alcala and Alcossebre during 2018

The work, currently being carried out in the camino L’Atall in Alcossebre, is included in the distribution network renewal Plan, undertaken by FACSA, which will replace 100% of the pipes

Having started in the camino L’Atall, the work will continue through different areas in the centre of Alcossebre: Paseo Vista Alegre and calles Alcala, Romeral, Barquer, Ausias March, Rench, Colón and Hilactes.  This will involve a total of 2,600 metres of new pipes.  The plan is for all the work to be completed before the summer.  Later, the work will take place in Alcala where work will be carried out along 170 metres along the calles San Nicolás, Virgen de los Dolores, Carrascal, La Hoya and plaza Juan Vilanova.

All the work is included in the distribution network renovation Plan, undertaken by FACSA, which during the years of its concession will replace 100% of the town’s pipes, providing the population with a more modern and up-to-date network.  New high density polyethylene pipes, with diameters between 90 and 160 mm, are being used to replace the old ones.  They are also going to install new connections to every home and will take advantage of where the work to improve pavement access is taking place, to carry this out.  Improved water pressure is another aspect which is being dealt with and, to this end, the diameters have been increased.

The Mayor Francisco Juan pointed out that “the renewal of the water supply network is fundamental to guarantee the correct supply to residents.  Gradually, we are taking action in all areas of the two centres, moving to have a modern and efficient network, properly suited to current needs”.
