The Alcala-Alcossebre mayor asks the Health Department for urgent solutions to the lack of professionals in Vinaros Hospital
Francisco Juan: “They are not capable of managing the human and technical resources efficiently”.
The mayor of Alcala-Alcossebre, Francisco Juan, has demanded that the Health Department finds “urgent, extraordinary solutions” so that the services which have been suspended in Vinaros Hospital, due to the lack of professionals, such as the gynaecological consultants, according to a report from the CCOO union, can return. Juan explained that “for some time now, the Health Department has not been capable of managing the staff and technical resources in an efficient way and now we can see the results. It cannot be allowed that gynaecological consultations should be suspended or that the waiting lists for specialities such as cardiology or digestive problems should be several months. We know this because we are receiving complaints from our residents and now it has already become more evident”.
Regarding the technical facilities, the Alcala-Alcossebre Mayor recalled that “we had already asked for a SAMU for our area and our requests are being ignored, installing it in another area. They are dismantling health in the north of the province”. Juan ended by urging the Generalitat Valenciana to resolve this situation and “for our citizens to have the health service which they deserve
