The Lacemakers Groups gathered in Alcala de Xivert for the 15th year,

Organised for the fifteenth year by the Alcala Lacemakers Assocation in collaboration with the Alcala-Alcossebre Council, on 10th June, the Lacemakers gathered in the Espai d’Oci in Alcala de Xivert,.
There were over 100 participants gathered together to work on their bobbin lace making and to enjoy the company of other groups from places like Cases d’Alcanar, Vinarós, Amposta, Oropesa de Mar, Santa Magdalena de Pulpis, Calig, Castellón, Torreblanca, Sant Carles de la Rápita, La Senia, Almassora and Alcanar among others, as well as the hosts from Alcala de Xivert and Alcossebre.
Those there enjoyed their work and meeting like-minded friends, as well as a good lunch together. The organisation also held a raffle with numerous prizes.
Alcala-Alcossebre Council’s councillors, Maria Agut and Desa Pitarch, together with the local ‘festeras’, accompanied the chairman of the Alcala Lacemakers Association, Rosa Mari Llorens Loriente, along the route for the exhibition and the tables for those taking part, to then welcome all the participants to the town.
