Alcala-Alcossebre Council distributes 84,367 euros in grants to cultural and sports bodies
Eleven sports and nineteen cultural bodies are beneficiaries, among them were the AMPAS educational centres

Alcala-Alcossebre Council has awarded grants which it authorises each year to cultural and sports bodies to promote the cultural and sports activities they carry out. In the case of the sports clubs, 43,367 euros were distributed among the elven groups. The criteria which are taken into account are federal expenses, the number of registered sportspeople, the sport level and the maximum category achieved and the organisation of events which promote the municipality. Clubs which will receive these grants are: Club de Fútbol Alcalà, Club d’Escacs, Amics de les Curses Populars, Club de Caza La Atalaya, Club Muntanyenc Serra d’Irta, Club Handbol Serra Irta, Club Ciclista Chivertense-BTT Serra d’Irta, Moto Club Xivert, Fútbol Sala Mármoles Serrat, Club Bàsquet Jovens Alcalà de Xivert and Club de Vela Alcossebre.
A total of 37,000 euros has been distributed among the cultural organisations, taking into account among other criteria, the variety of cultural and youth programmes, the activities which focus on the maximum participation of residents, the social-cultural impact and its projection, the continuity of a cultural programme throughout a year and the number of members. Grants were awarded to CEIP Lo Campanar, CEIP La Mola, IES Serra d’Irta, AMPA IES Serra d’Irta, Amics Mainhardt, AMPA CEIP Lo Campanar, Joventut Bouera, AMPA CEIP La Mola, Associació Dona Gaspatxera, Associació Cultural Bolilleres d’Alcalà, Alcocebre Joven, Xivertcalquier, Innova Cultura, Xivert Històric, The Friends of Alcossebre, Lo Bonsai Gaspatxer, La Passió per la Trencà, Amas de Casa de Alcossebre and Amigos de los Animales Callejeros.
