On the 26th and 27th April, the plaza Vistalegre in Alcossebre was the scene for the First Guitars of the World Festival, two very different shows with the guitar as the indisputable protagonist.
The festival, supported by the Alcala-Alcossebre Council and the Castellón Diputación, started on Friday, 26th April, with the Andrea Vetoretti trio, presenting “Alice in Wonderland”, a show inviting the public to submerge itself in the pure emotion between dream and reality. This creation composed by the Italian guitarist has been performed in halls like the Queen Elisabeth Hall in London, the Salle Cortot in Paris, and cities such as Rome, Berlin, Dublin, Valencia, Mexico City, Miami and Sydney. The soloist was accompanied by the cellist Riviera Lazer and percussionist Max Trabucco.
The second of the concerts was held in the same place on the Saturday, 27th April, with a performance by the Trío Latinoamericano Cristóbal Pazmino, with a concert evoking the rhythms of Venezuela, Argentina, Colombia and the Latin bolero. The trio of guitars, which has toured throughout Europe with its music, was formed by Sebastián Cordero, Xiver Suárez and Cristóbal Pazmino himself and was much appreciated by the audience.
The third guitar concert will be held on 22nd June. Watch for posters for further information.
