Anti-mosquito treatment in non-developed areas has started early due to the rising temperatures

Creating a cordon around inhabited areas to prevent proliferation, Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre Council is carrying out treatment against mosquitos in non-developed areas and abandoned land surrounding the inhabited nuclei.  The preventative teams have also treated gutters to prevent the proliferation of the tiger mosquitos in town areas and specific areas such as wetlands.  Lokimica S.A. has been awarded the contract for the actions and will develop various preventative actions throughout the year. They have already started applying the preventative treatments due to the rising temperatures.  The work is being coordinated with the Services Department so that the preventative actions are carried out to guarantee that the mosquitos will not proliferate during the summer season. 

Once again, residents are asked to inspect their private properties to ensure that stagnant water does not accumulate in drains, wells and tanks, and to keep the proper chlorine level in swimming pools, hollows under trees and put fresh water every day in pets drinking bowls.
