Everything stays as it was in the Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre Council. Francisco Juan Mars will return as mayor having obtained the absolute majority with 7 of the 13 councillors in the town council. The popular candidate received 1,793 votes, more than the 1,635 gained in 2015, in the municipal elections in which participation had also increased by nearly 3 points, also increasing his lead over the other party.
The PSPV-PSOE of Joan Ronchera was again the second political force in the municipality with 1,198 votes and four councillors, whilst Compromis retains one representative, marking the debut of María Sorli, in the same way that Ciudadanos will again have a single councillor, Joaquin Zaragozà.
