On Sunday, 7th July, Alcossebre will hold the eighth year of the Race to Santa Lucía (la Pujà a Santa Llúcia), a mountain race consisting of two tests, la Pujà and a non-competitive Walk.
This year la Pujà a Santa Llúcia, organised by the Amics de les Curses Populars in collaboration with the Alcala-Alcossebre Council and the Castellón Diputación as part of the Castellón Sport Scene, will follow a new route over a distance of 23 kilometres and a rise of 1,200 metres through the wonderful landscape of the Sierra d’Irta Natural Park. Roads and paths give way to unique views of the town of Alcala de Xivert and of Alcossebre.
Alternatively, those who would like to enjoy a route through this natural space will be able to take part in an 11 kilometre Walk with a rise of 500 metres.
