Two men and a woman were arrested in Alcossebre by the Guardia Civil and Local Police as the suspects in six robberies from vehicle interiors, for belonging to a criminal group, falsifying documents and finding that two of them had various search and detain orders from national and international courts.

The Guardia Civil officers started the investigation when they learned that there had been various robberies from tourists’ vehicles in Alcossebre and that these could have been committed by the same people.

Using common sense the officers, having analysed the criminal activities, and with witnesses, statements and other more technical activities, found as a result that the suspects belonged to an organised criminal group, which was related to a multitude of crimes against patrimony (robberies from vehicle interiors and frauds) all over the national territory and in some of the European Union countries, using numerous identities and forging public documents so that they were not identified and made the police tasks more difficult.

The group was made up of one woman and two men between the ages of 24 and 25 years.  Their modus operandi was to break one of the vehicle windows and remove the objects from its interior, whilst the tourists left their cars parked nearby to go swimming in the coves and beaches of Alcossebre and Torreblanca.

After numerous operations, the Guardia Civil officers detected an area where various criminal acts had been carried out by the members of the group, who were reconnoitring the area in  order to commit more criminal acts.

Through all this they proceeded to their arrest as suspects in six robberies, document forging, and found that two of them had in total eleven search and detain orders against them in national courts and two international orders in France and Switzerland.

Different tools used to commit the robberies were seized.

The educated evidence was delivered to the Judge in Vinarós, decreeing that one of the men should be sent to prison.

The task was carried out by officers from the Alcala de Xivert Guardia Civil and the town’s Local Police
