Alcala-Alcossebre Council prepares a free car park next to the Alcala Church square

Alcala-Alcossebre has converted plots right in the centre of the town into a free municipal car park for vehicles.  The adjoining plots are situated between calle Alcalde Puig and calle Mare de Deú de la Poma.  The Council reached an agreement with the owners for them to cede use, to make it into a car park and, in this way, offer a space to park for people who go to the centre of the town, to carry out business or go shopping.  The car park has 12 parking spaces, and the vehicle entrance and exit are in calle Alcalde Puig.

Mayor Francisco Juan thanked the owners for their cooperation and said that “this first step to increase parking places in the centre of Alcala is now a reality and marks our aim to construct another parking area in the plaza Juan Vilanova, and we are already working on this”.
