Again, this year the Alcala-Alcossebre Council is opening the 2020 budget for participation by residents so that they may bring their proposals to be expressed in the municipal accounts. In order to do this, there are voting boxes in the Alcossebre Municipal Offices and Alcala Council offices where a form with your proposal for investment can be deposited. Also, as in previous years, you can send your proposals using email to participa@alcaladexivert.es
All proposals received will be studied by municipal experts to confirm their viability and evaluate them economically. Those which are considered most viable and positive for the municipality will be included in the 2020 budget. The Treasury councillor, María Agut, reminded that “the meeting for approving the municipal budgets will be held on the last Wednesday of November so that they can become effective in the new year, as happens every year. The preparation of the budget is complicated and laborious, and we want to have residents’ proposals in order to be able to evaluate them and include them”. Proposals may be submitted up to the 31st October.
The Citizen Participation councillor, Selene Blázquez, pointed out that “with the new voting boxes we hope to open participation to more residents who are not familiar with the new technologies and, in this way, it can increase the number of proposals”.
For the governing team, participating is also open to municipal groups with the aim that they present their proposals inviting them in writing so that they can submit them. “Through the municipal budgets, we want to invest the financial resources available to the Council in the best way. By opening them for everyone to take part, we think we can cover the needs of our residents better and collect positive proposals for the whole town”, Mayor Francisco Juan pointed out.
