The work has been awarded by the Alcala-Alcossebre Council for soundproofing the CEIP La Mola’s dining room

The work to soundproof the CEIP La Mola is being carried out at a value of 13,176.90 euros. It will consist of installing elements in the ceiling which will increase the sound absorption surface and will solve the problems of excessive noises which are annoying to pupils and staff in the dining room. Instructions have already been passed to the winning company for the work to be carried out as soon as possible and to cause the least amount of disturbance to the educational community.
The favourable report from the Education Department for the Council to be able to carry out the work was given on Thursday, 19th September. Mayor Francisco Juan said that “we presented our request for the Council to be able to carry out the work in June and were told that they would send us the technical report and would do it in the shortest time. On receipt of the favourable report, we awarded it immediately”. And he reminded that “the educational community had gone to the Generalitat Valenciana many times to be able to carry out the work and they had refused. In the end, it had to be the Council which had provided the technical and financial measures to resolve a problem which should have been facing the Generalitat”.
Juan requested the Education Department to “expedite the Building Plan so that the CEIP La Mola extension could become a reality as soon as possible and that it should be put through the processes with the same speed as the Council has shown with the dining room sound-proofing”.
