Alcala-Alcossebre Council is open to receive residents’ proposals for the investment of the funds remaining in the treasury.

Once the final settlement of the Alcala-Alcossebre Council’s 2019 budget was closed, there remained 993,049 euros generated as a result of savings in the council’s financial management, which will be able to have positive repercussions in the municipality through new investments.  Therefore, as is usual and as has happened in previous financial years, the Council is opening participation to residents for these investments, so that residents proposals can be carried out.  In the previous year, some of the residents’ proposals had been brought to fruition, using the investments from the remainder: they were improvements in the camino Artola and the renovation of the Juan Vilanova and Just Zaragozà squares.  Proposals may be sent by e-mail to participa@alcaladexivert.es.

María Agut, Treasury councillor, emphasised that “of these 993,049 euros we have already approved the investment of 236,000 euros for storm repairs, drainage and improved lighting, so that we have around 700,000 euros available to be invested in our municipality, thanks to good management allowing us, year after year, to make savings”.
