Alcala-Alcossebre Council values the Resistiré campaign very positively for supporting the population during lockdown

The campaign developed by the Local Police has been ended with the new de-escalation measures

Alcala-Alcossebre Council has ended the “Resistiré” campaign supporting the population during the total lockdown, in view of the new progressive de-escalation measures.  Since the 24th March, every evening at 20.00 hours, the song “Resistiré” has been broadcast from the Alcala bell tower and the La Mola Primary School in Alcossebre and Local Police patrols have driven through all the inhabited areas in the municipality, bringing support and accompanying the citizens.  The boys and girls held a very important role in the campaign, as, during the weekend, children’s songs were heard and, young children who were celebrating their birthdays were visited at home, with the “Happy Birthday” song from the police vehicle’s loudspeaker.

“I want to value the Local Police’s great work, through which, from the Council, we wanted to maintain contact with all our male and female residents and to remind them every day that they had to comply with all the regulations and that the effort which staying in their homes required, was worthwhile”, Mayor Francisco Juan pointed out.

“We now begin a new stage, in which regulated outings are permitted for the whole population, so that I am asking all my neighbours to continue being responsible and to respect all the safety and protecting measures, maintaining the 2 metre physical distancing from other people and always wearing protective masks whenever necessary” the Mayor concluded.
