Alcala-Alcossebre Council is demanding that the Consellería gives greater priority to enlarging the CEIP La Mola in the Building Plan

Alcala-Alcossebre Council is demanding to know what progress the Education Consellería is making in the pre-planning project for the enlargement of the La Mola Primary School in Alcossebre, within the Building Plan, and is demanding that it be given priority, due to the lack of space in the education centre and the delay in the process which is taking place even though the council presented the pre-project for enlarging the centre in September 2018.  The last action carried out by the Council was the presentation in March of this year of the latest modifications required by the Consellería and, at present, no response has been received in this regard.  The Mayor Francisco Juan has written to the Dirección General de Infraestructuras de Educación and the Dirección Territorial insisting that “it is urgent that the Consellería de Educación should give a major boost for the CEIP La Mola enlargement to be a reality as soon as possible” and he explained that “it is incomprehensible that, since September 2018, they should still be processing the pre-project and that it is now five months without us having been told anything new.  At this rate, the construction of the extension will not start for many years”. Juan pointed out that “taking into account that in September it will be two years since the presentation of the pre-project and that the Consellería still does not know what budgetary assignment it can give it in the next years, we are given the impression that this work is not a priority for the Generalitat Valenciana and that they are delaying it by demanding that we provide and correct information which is not important for the work to start”.
