Alcala-Alcossebre Council and sports clubs have decided on the safety protocols in sports events
Alcala-Alcossebre Council Sports councillor, Jordi Batiste, has met with representatives of local sports clubs: CF Alcalà, Club Handbol Serra d'Irta y Club Bàsquet Jovens Alcalà to deal with the safety protocols at sports events, both matches and training, in view of the start of the next season to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.
The Sports Department has prepared these protocols following the recommendations of the Health Department and the Health Ministry and it has been established that matches can be played with spectators complying with the following measures: periodic disinfection of facilities, mandatory use of the mask, maintaining safe distancing, identification control and taking the temperature of attendees, different entrances and exits, limited numbers in the stands, cloakrooms, bathrooms and canteen area.
Both the Council and the clubs have promised to comply and to ensure the protocols are complied with both by spectators and players. “After so many months without being able to hold sports events with spectators, our objective is that they can now be held but following all the safety measures”, Sports councillor, Jordi Batiste, who has shown his trust, said “we will have all the cooperation from the sports clubs to be able to comply with all the preventive measures”.
