Alcala-Alcossebre Council Sports Department has prepared the diary of municipal sports activities for the 2020-2021 year, marked by the application of measures to prevent COVID-19 infection. The first of the measures is to register so that the number of arrivals is not too great when allocating places. In this way, queues and crowds are prevented. In the event that there are more requests than places on a particular activity, there will be a draw at the Council Registry and Alcossebre Municipal Offices and also forms can be downloaded from the municipal website following the link: http://www.alcaladexivert.es/sites/L01120043/files/2020-09/PREINSCRIPCI%C3%93%20ACTIVITATS%20ESPORTIVES.pdf
You can attend the Council Registry and Alcossebre Municipal Offices on 24th, 25th and 28th September. Once you have applied, you will receive a telephone call if you have an available place and, in this case, you will be given the payment card so that you can formalise the registration. “Our aim is to prevent crowds forming when registering and therefore we request that you deliver the registration forms during the three days without worrying about the delivery order and, later, formalising the registration in a staggered order”, Sports councillor, Jordi Batiste, explained.
The courses on offer are aerobics, step Pilates, Latin rhythms, Taiichi, therapeutic and traditional yoga and fitness for adults, at different times in Alcala, in the Espai d’Oci and CESAL and in the Alcossebre CESAL. Aiming to comply with the COVID-19 safety regulations, there will be a maximum of 20 places to maintain safe distance and the users must wear the necessary material to carry out the activity.
“This year, due to COVID-19, we have had to adapt ourselves to only using three spaces as we cannot use the facilities at the schools nor the Pensioners’ Club, focussing on three municipal spaces to facilitate the tasks of cleaning, disinfection and have greater control of the numbers and still maintain the same offer regarding the number of activities as in previous years”, the councillor indicated.
