The Alcala-Alcossebre Adult Education School increases its training facilities with a course in Digital Competence
On 30th September, Alcala-Alcossebre Council Education Department announced the Alcala-Alcossebre Adult Education School training courses for the 2020-2021 year. Classes begin on the 19th October with the regular courses – Painting and Drawing, Lace-making, Handicrafts, Dolçaina, Furniture Restoration, Bonsais, English, French, Spanish and classes in Valencian to obtain the JQVC qualifications. Also, new this year, there will be a course in Digital Competence specially designed to familiarise users with the digital tool dominion, which has gained strength due to the increase in on-line working, online educational activities and the use of the digital environment to communicate with family and friends.
The tools which will be taught are Google Drive, Google Meet, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Presentations and Google calculation Pages. To take part in this activity, pupils must bring their own Tablet or computer.
In order to prevent queues and crowds at the time of registering for the courses, it is possible to pre-register for the activity you wish to join. Pre-registration pages are available from the Council Register and Alcossebre Municipal Offices and can also be downloaded from the municipal web on the link http://www.alcaladexivert.es/sites/L01120043/files/2020-09/preinscripci%C3%B3%20EPA.pdf
Pre-registration pages must be presented on the 1st, 2nd and 5th October in the Council Registry or in the Alcossebre Municipal Offices. Once submitted, pupils will be phoned to let them know whether they have been accepted on the activity and they will be given a payment card and, in this case, registration must be formalised between 8th and 15th October. In the event that there are more requests than places on a particular activity, there will be a draw between all the pre-registration pages received for it.
Education Councillor, Selene Blázquez, said that “this system of pre-registration has operated very well for registering for municipal sports activities, preventing queues and crowds, and therefore we are applying it to the Adult Education School registration” and reminded that “this year is going to be marked by the safety measures to prevent COVID-19 infection. All the municipal buildings where Adult Education activities take place have all the measures: thermometers to take temperatures, keeping safe distance, cleaning and disinfection, etc. We believe that, by adopting all the measures and asking for caution and responsibility from the men and women pupils, these training activities can continue being run with normality”.
