On the 13th October, there was an extraordinary, emergency meeting of the Alcala-Alcossebre Council to approve the delegation of competences for educational infrastructures to the consistory to carry out the extension and refurbishment of the drainage of the Alcossebre La Mola primary school, via the Pla Edificant.  In a previous ordinary council meeting, this process had been raised for approval but had to be repeated as the distribution of the investment set out in the resolution was not the correct one and has now been modified and approved in annual instalments.  This last council meeting planned a first investment of 223,555.81 euros to be made during the remainder of 2020 and will be used for carrying out the construction project.  For 2021, work is planned up to a value of 1,129,102,96 euros and in 2022 the remaining 2,064,551 euros.  In total, the work has a budget of 3,417,210 euros.

Mayor Francisco Juan reminded that the “Pla Edificant means that it is the Councils who are  in charge of carrying out the process: drawing up the pre-project, drawing up the project, construction, etc. with all the proceedings of licensing, awarding and supervising the work that are involved and conforming in what is going on. The Councils must justify the expenses, producing them and it is at this moment that the Conselleria makes the financial contribution”.

All the municipal groups supported unanimously both the point relating to the delegation of competences and the annual instalments of the investment.
