Alcala-Alcossebre Council Technical Services and Town Planning Department will modify the municipal regulatory bylaw for responsible declaration for executing minor works and first licenses and second occupation. The main objective of the modification is to adapt the municipal bylaw to the legal level set up by LOTUP and facilitate the processes, particularly for businesses and citizens. The bylaw will then have a period of public exhibition and presentation of complaints and, the Town Planning Concejalía wanted to take these changes to the local professionals in the construction sector at first hand. For this reason there was a public meeting in which municipal technicians were charged with the explanations and attending to the questions from the professionals present.
The modification of the bylaw is due, above all, to interest in generalising the process, in a way which would prevent the proliferation of works which are carried out without being declared or which are completed without the corresponding licence, either because they did not know or to avoid the municipal process. One of the most important changes is to include a greater number of suppositions in the process of the responsible declaration, it will advance the response times of the Municipal Technical Services before other more extensive processes such as the licences for greater and smaller works.
Town Planning councillor, Miguel Martorell, pointed out that “we are putting in place all the human and technical measures possible so that the processes can be more agile and the times can be reduced for authorising licenses and permissions”. He gave a very positive evaluation of the meeting “counting on the important participation of professionals who were very receptive”. Martorell indicated that “our technicians are going to try to reflect the proposals in what we carry out to continue improving a key department within the Council operation”.
