Alcala-Alcossebre Council donates books on equality and domestic violence to the Serra d’Irta Secondary School
Alcala-Alcossebre Council, through its Social Welfare and Equality Department, has donated to the IES Serra d’Irta, a batch of books on the subject of equality and domestic violence. These are coeducational books by various authors proposed by the centre and the purchase of which was financed by the Council via the funds of the State Pact on Domestic Violence, with the aim of contributing awareness of equality and the fight against domestic violence among the younger generations.
The works are available to be consulted and read by the boys and girls in the central Library and they will be spread and dealt with through the teachers, so that they can be worked on in class.
The councillors for Social Welfare and Equality, Melina Fradejas, and for Education, Selene Blázquez, took part in the donation event, together with members of the education community.
