Alcala-Alcossebre Council improves its tourism competitivity with assistance from the Valencian Community Tourism department

Alcala-Alcossebre Council has had recourse to assistance organised by the Valencian Community Tourism department for local bodies aimed at improving the competitivity of their tourism resources, for the programme “Competitivity and de-seasonalising the tourist destinations”.  In all, assistance of 11,567 euros has been awarded and have been applied to the maintenance of management systems for the quality of the beaches, through which the follow-up audits are carried out according to the regulations for ISO and the Q for Quality Tourism in the Tourist Information offices.  For this matter 1,527 euros have been received.  Also, taking on an official guide for guided visits has received 10,040 euros and the official guide who will carry out the guided visits in the diary of tourism activities which are carried out throughout the year in both Alcala and Alcossebre will be subsidised.

Tourism councillor, Selene Blázquez, emphasised “the importance of adding resources to continue improving the quality of our infrastructures and their competitivity”.
