Alcala-Alcossebre council is encouraging people to make their purchases in local businesses, taking advantage of the Christmas season. As part of the various actions being undertaken by the Business Department, a video is being prepared in which local businesses will be the protagonists and will try to make residents aware that the survival of local businesses depends on people shopping in them, instead of choosing the large shopping centres or foreign on-line businesses.
Also, as is traditional, the Business Department is starting a campaign to support local business during Christmas, in which all the purchases made in the businesses, from the 6th December to the 6th January, will be entered in the draw for 20 vouchers for 50 euros for purchases also to be made in local shops. Miguel Martorell, the Business councillor, reminded that “throughout the year, we carry out campaigns of this sort to incentivise buying in our businesses”.
Mayor Francisco Juan pointed out that “always, but this year more than ever, we must be with the businesses in our town as now is the moment to be at their side and to be able to overcome the negative consequences of the COVID-19”.
