Alcala-Alcossebre Council and the Serra d’Irta IES will continue the Shared Classroom Programme in 2021
In the forthcoming terms, pupils will receive information on mechanics, photography, electricity, hairdressing, sports training and security forces
For a second year, Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre Council will collaborate with the Serra d’Irta IES in the organisation of different activities for the pupils who take part in the Shared Classroom Programme (PAC). This programme is carried out through a collaboration agreement between both parties, Council and IES, and the activities being carried out are always supervised by a teacher.
Following talks about professional orientation based on pupils’ interests, for 2021 there is a programme with a total of 8 exits during the months of January and February. These will be carried out following all the security measures and being adapted to the current situation. Specialists in mechanics, photography, electricity, hairdressing, maintenance, sports training and members of the police and Guardia Civil will take part. Work is already taking place in a coordinated way in the third term so that pupils can carry out environmental actions and awareness and small tasks of preparation and maintenance in different municipal spaces.
Having seen the previous results, both the educational centre and the Council consider that this type of action is very positive for the pupils. Education councillor, Selene Blázquez, emphasised that “we are very grateful for the work of the collaborators as thanks to them, the pupils on the Shared Classroom Plan can see at first hand the work which they are carrying out, and this motivates them and incentivises them to continue their studies in keeping with their professional interests”.
