The Cargador Beach and the Santa Lucía chapel can be seen via a web cam
Alcala-Alcossebre Council continues working, through the Tourism Department, on actions to de-seasonalise tourism and promote the arrival of visitors throughout the year. With this aim, two live cameras have been installed so that pictures in real time of the two places - the Cargador Beach and the Santa Lucía chapel – can be seen anywhere in the world. In fact, they have installed in the Tourist Office in the plaza Vista Alegre, giving a panoramic vision of the Cargador Beach and the Santa Lucía chapel, with a view of the sea and the surrounding countryside. Through these pictures can be seen the undoubtable countryside value of these places and giving up to date climate information, seeking to serve as an incentive so that more people decide to visit Alcala-Alcossebre.
To access the webcams, there are already two direct links from the main menu on the municipal web www.alcaladexivert.es and shortly they will be available on the www.alcossebre.org tourism web. Tourism councillor Selene Blázquez, announced that “we will monitor the reach of these cameras, through the number of visits they produce and we are considering increasing them to other places such as, for example, an iconic space in the centre of Alcala”. Blázquez emphasised that “it has been shown that this type of tools is very useful for people who are looking for information on their next destinations”.
