Alcala-Alcossebre Council applies for aid to improve the energy efficiency of the El Campaner industrial estate

At a meeting of the Alcala-Alcossebre Council, there was unanimous approval for making a request for aid which the Generalitat Valenciana is offering through the Valencian Business Competitivity Institute (IVACE) for investment projects to improve and modernise industrial estates, with the objective of continuing the improvement to the El Campaner Industrial estate. In fact, they are considering an investment of 140,787 euros for very important work aimed at improving street lighting, replacing the 200 existing lights which work currently with metallic halogen bulbs with LED technology. By choosing this technology, more efficient energetically, the consumption of CO? would be reduced by 50% with the emission of 2.42 tons less CO? per annum. Other works being considered are the improvement to green areas and access to the heliport area, as well as the maintenance and improvement to signage.
Town Planning councillor, Miguel Martorell, explained that “with these works, we want to continue updating our industrial estate so that it becomes more competitive in attracting new businesses”.
A business from the food sector has recently been confirmed as being installed, which it is planned will create between 15 and 20 new jobs.
