Drawing up the new 2020-2024 Alcala-Alcossebre Tourism Strategy Plan has finally come to the end of the participation phase in which both public and private representatives were involved. In the public world, Council experts and councillors from the different municipal groups made contributions. In the private sector, different businesses in the tourist sector participated and engaged in the different dynamics, with round-table working meetings, interviews and surveys. Once all the information gathered from this participative process was put together, the diagnostic phase ended and they began to design the strategic lines, objectives, lines of action and priority actions on which the new Plan would be based, taking carefully into account the adaptations for the new tourism context.
Tourism councillor, Selene Blázquez, said that “it was important to add together everyone’s contributions as we had many proposals, so it will be more positive at the time of establishing new strategies and fixing common objectives, taking into account that the tourist activity is one of the principal economic activities of our municipality”.
