Alcala-Alcossebre Tourism quality will continue increasing with 31 new businesses joining SICTED
Alcala-Alcossebre Council and the local business sector continue growing in strength and are working together to ensure quality in the town as a tourist destination. An example is the consolidation of the process to obtain the SICTED emblem by local businesses joined by 31 new companies and which is now starting the training process. Last week produced the first coordination meetings before starting with the training, through which, little by little, they are pursuing the town’s companies, to achieve a homogenous level of quality in the services the destination is offering to the tourist. Currently there are 18 companies in the training process to which these 31 will be added, the process being in the charge of technical staff from the Tourist department so that soon they can be added to the 16 which are already certified with the Tourist Quality Promise emblem, as a recognition of their effort to improve the parameters of tourism quality and improve the experience both for tourists and visitors.
The tourist department is cooperating with establishments and services in the training, technical assistance, group workshops and working groups, among others, in which proposals are developing to improve the destination and which are assessing the contrast in the preparation of the establishments/services to the quality standards.
Tourism councillor, Selene Blázquez, assesses very positively these figures as “we know the effort which this training process means for the companies but also the importance which our establishments count on for this certification of quality, both at an individual level and for the destination, therefore there is the protection and supervision of the Tourist staff at all times, in facilitating the processes to the maximum to obtain this recognition”.
