The CESAL in Alcossebre welcomes its second course as the auxiliary CdT-Castelló centre

[Img #81928]The municipal CESAL building in Alcossebre was the venue on Monday, 19th April, for its second course as a CdT-Castelló auxiliary centre, with chef Raúl Resino as the teacher explaining the uses and applications for artichokes in the kitchen.  The Autonomous Secretary for Tourism, Francesc Colomer, and the Alcala-Alcossebre Mayor, Francisco Juan, together with the CdT-Castelló director, Esther Labaig, opened the course, which was attended by 17 professionals from the hospitality sector and lasted throughout the day.

Colomer pointed out the importance of having culinary references such as Raúl Resino, a Michelin Star chef, in the gastronomy of the Valencian Community, and urged that “training is the way to constantly improve in life, to manage failure in advance”.  Mayor Francisco Juan reminded that “since we have had this municipal building, we were clear that it could be a very import resource to facilitate the training of professionals in hospitality in the Baix Maestrat and therefore we made it available for the Valencian Generalitat, as an auxiliary centre for the CdT-Castelló and insisted that “the best way to advance is for administrations to work hand in hand and I thank the Autonomous Secretary who was of the same mind”.

Through an agreement between Alcala-Alcossebre Council and the Valencian Community Tourism department, a hall in the Alcossebre CESAL was prepared as a professional kitchen with all the equipment and another space was set up as an IT room, which has enabled this municipal building to facilitate training in the tourism sector.
