Alcala’s ‘Plan Reviu’ increases citizen participation with live workshops on Tuesday, 27th April

The process for open participation, corresponding to Phases 2 and 3 in the preparation of the Alcala de Xivert Integral Revitalisation Plan, continues and for this has called an open participation workshop for citizens on Tuesday 27th April, at 18.00 h, in the plaza de Les Escoles. The workshop will be held following all the safety measures, such as groups of not more than 6 people, in the open air, maintaining safe distance and with appropriate hygiene measures. To take part, it is necessary to register by e-mail.
There has already been a public presentation on-line about the Plan, meetings with political representatives and municipal technicians and the diagnostic phase using surveys have been completed as part of the participation process. In fact, a total of 108 forms have been registered, of which 25 were on paper (through the voting boxes placed in the council) and 83 in a digital format. Regarding the typology of the participants, women were in the predominance (62%) with a fringe in the age range of 30 to 49 years (48%). The greater part of those who filled in their surveys live in Alcala (61.1%), 25.9% are Alcossebre residents and the rest (13%) are residents of other towns. Regarding the origins, 64.8% are from Alcala-Alcossebre, 19.4% from the rest of Spain, 13% from Castellón and the rest, from other origins. The technical team is now analysing the proposals and priorities expressed by the population as set out in the corresponding document.
Mayor Francisco Juan reminded that “the importance of this Plan counts on the greater number of inputs from the population, as it does not try to be a route formed only from municipal actions but one which has to count on the involvement of the greater number of men and women residents so that it can be truly useful”.
