Alcala-Alcossebre Council completes payment to the local companies of the Ayudas Parentesis

Alcala-Alcossebre Council has completed the payment of the Ayudas Paréntesis del Plan Resistir to the 129 requests for assistance presented by local companies which complied with all the requirements set out in the notification. In total, 238,200 euros in aid has been awarded, when the total amount was assessed at 336,289 euros, with contributions from the Generalitat Valenciana, Diputación Provincial and Council. The payment of this aid was completed in one and a half months. The time for submitting requests started on 8th March and in the governing meeting on 17th March the first payments totalling 19,800 euros had already been approved. Gradually, as the requests continued being reviewed by the experts, 129 requests have been completed, with the last corresponding to the government meeting on 28th April.
Mayor Francisco Juan emphasised “the efficiency shown by the Council at the time of carrying out the whole process and the principal aim of the speed at which the money reached the companies, given the need for liquidity in these times of financial crisis”.
The balance of the Ayudas Paréntesis, 98,089, will be used for a new notification for local companies whose sectors were not included in the first notification. 75 local companies have already presented their requests to take part in this aid.
