Alcala-Alcossebre Council will complete the park in the camino Ferrocarril with spaces for zip-cord, skatepark, natural children’s toys and workouts
125,000 euros will be used from the remainder in the treasury and a contribution of 49,560 euros from the Castellón Diputación Plan to Reactivate Works

The Alcala-Alcossebre Council meeting held on 7th May approved 125,000 euros from the remainder in the treasury for an action which will complete the large park and the green area in the camino Ferrocarril in Alcala. The budget modification was approved with the votes in favour from the Partido Popular, Compromis and Ciudadanos and the Partido Socialista abstaining. The action has a cost of 175,000 euros which will be completed with a contribution of 49,560 euros from the Castellón Diputación Plan for Reactivating Works.
With this new action, which is situated in the area nearest to the railway line and then in the annexed area to the urban which is being carried out at the moment, it is primarily the contact with nature, with large spaces of gardens with soil and vegetation, compatible with spaces for enjoying the fresh air and promotion of healthy habits for different groups of the population such as a natural children’s park with wooden element, a sand area and educational toys, a zip--line area, space for muscle and stretching work-outs for young people, a children’s skatepark and a picnic area. Also, near the work-out area, an open space will be prepared for recreation which will serve as a link area between the different areas.
Mayor Francisco Juan reminded that “this project gives us hope especially as we are already converting some land which was underused in a public space which is aimed at being enjoyed by all ages and very necessary in the centre of Alcala, as a protagonist for the green spaces and leisure areas and wellbeing”.
